Refurb of a Nuova Simonelli Athena Leva

| The Athena Leva refurbishment took 4 days to complete. As you will see, the machine was disassembled down to its chassis. Every component within the machine was inspected and cleaned. With a lever action system, the main focus of the refurb process is geared towards the seals that actually make this system work. Every seal was replaced including the seals in the steam/hot water taps. The boiler, valves, copper lines, and group heads were cleared of lime scale deposits and coffee (espresso) oils. All replaced parts were obtained through the manufacturer (Nuova Simonelli). |
